Jason Dufner Breaks Through At Zurich Classic For 1st PGA Tour Win

A couple of days ago when Jason Dufner held the 36-hole lead at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, I basically said that Dufner has made a habit of playing well on Thursday and Friday and then fading into the weekend.

The evidence was there to support my theory.

Well, we got to see only about one-third of the field at the Shell Houston Open finish this afternoon, after inclement weather descended upon the golf course, forcing officials to push the continuation of first round play into Friday.

Adam Scott Jumps Out To First-Round Lead In Cadillac Championship

It was a highly anticipated day on the PGA Tour this week for the opening round of the 2012 Cadillac Championship, where all of the top-5 ranked players in the world would tee it up.

And at the end of Day 1, it’s Adam Scott and Jason Dufner who are atop the leaderboard, after firing a 6-under par rounds of 66.

For those of you who watched the Honda Classic final round on Sunday, you were treated to something special.

We saw Rory McIlroy win the event and ascend to the No.1 ranking in the world, but at the same time a familiar figure roared loudly during the final round, nearly coming from nine-shots to win the event.

Tiger Woods Bounces Back At Honda Classic With Second-Round 68

Tiger Woods bounced back with a 68 today at the Honda classic, after shooting a 1-over par round of 71 to open yesterday.

And the funny thing is, he said he it the ball the worst he has in months.

But the putting was better.

Woods has 10 less putts on Friday than he did on Thursday, but the score was just three shots better. So obviously, it’s easy to tell that he did not hit the ball better today. Continue reading
