2012 British Open Betting Odds

The 2012 British Open will be held at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in Lancashire beginning on July 19th.

And while we still have the U.S Open in June for the second Major championship of the season between then and now, we are going to take a brief look at the tournament and some of the favorites to win the Open Championship. Continue reading

RBC Heritage 2-Ball Odds For Sunday Afternoon Pairings

Carl Petersson grabbed the 54-hole lead at the 2012 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town in Hilton Head, chasing down Colt Knost for a one-shot margin heading into the final round on Sunday.

Peterson fired a five-under par round of 66 on Saturday afternoon to turn a two-shot deficit into a one-shot lead.

Both Peterson and Knost have separated themselves a bit on the leaderboard as well, with no player closer than three shots. Continue reading

2012 Masters First Round Scoring Props

As the 2012 Masters at Augusta National kicks off full swing this week, fans will generally acknowledge that they kind of know what to expect from the participants by now. After the way he flamed out last year, we are all well aware of what Rory McIlroy is like at both his best and at his worst. Similarly, given everything we’ve seen from Tiger Woods over the last few years, we are fully aware of what he looks like when he’s on his game (see: the Arnold Palmer Invitational) and when he’s off his game (see: every tournament he played in for two and a half years before the Arnold Palmer Invitational). Masters Betting Odds Offer Cross-Bet With Tiger Woods And Miami Heat Stars

Oddsmakers like to cross over to other sports to create interesting prop bets for major events. Most of the time, they are innocuous wagers without suggestive undertones like who will score the most points between two players, who’s sports usually have the same point value (i.e. more goals scored: Soccer Player A or Hockey Player B).

But one cross bet caught my eye that could actually have a deeper meaning. As Tiger Woods ramps up for another rabid Masters tournament this week, all the buzz will be on his performance in the late rounds. Last year, he began the day buried deep in the leaderboard before mounting a dramatic comeback, carding a 67 on Sunday to finish tied for fourth. Continue reading

2012 Masters Hole-In-One Prop Odds

Phil Mickelson spoke to reporters earlier this week and proclaimed the 2012 Masters would be a “birdie-fest”.

“It seems that some of the planning I have made may go by the wayside,” he said. “As soft as the golf course is, you can fire at a lot of pins.” Continue reading

Luke Donald 2012 Masters Betting Odds

There are the media lightning rods that are Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

And then there is the, you know, actual no. 1 player in the world, Luke Donald, who despite a torrid pace over the last 14 months has garnered little attention leading up to The Masters. While most of the spotlight has been cast on the pair of superstars who are favored to win the 2012 Masters, Donald seems like a pretty good value bet at 16/1, according to Bovada, behind even Phil Mickelson. Phil Mickelson Masters Betting Odds

It seemed like it lasted forever before Phil Mickelson’s Major championship drought came to end, when he won his first back in 2004.

And after once being known as the greatest player without a Major championship to his credit, Mickelson now has quite the collection, especially at Augusta National.

Mickelson has won three times at the Masters, the last of which came in 2010. Continue reading

2012 Shell Houston Open Betting Odds

With just one tournament to go before the Masters next week, the PGA Tour shifts to Texas for the Shell Houston Open.

And it’s a pretty deep field this week too, as players have decided to play the week before a Major as a final tune-up heading into Augusta. Continue reading

Tiger Woods Masters Betting Odds And More For 2012 PGA Tour Season

With Tiger Woods winning on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, it has sent the golfing world into a frenzy.

It has been a long time since the buzz surrounding the PGA Tour has been this high, with the 2012 season being one of the most-successful in history through 4 months.

And we haven’t even played a major championship!

But with the Masters less than two weeks away, it’s a good time to be a fan of golf right now. Continue reading

Round One Recap And Thoughts On Honda Classic Betting Odds

Sitting here watching the Honda Classic, and it’s the same story, different week for Tiger Woods.

He continues to be just a little off.

Those putts that he used to make aren’t falling. Those spectacular saving shots he used to execute with routine easy he isn’t making. And those hard shots he made look easy? Well, they are looking rather challenging. Continue reading
